Privacy Policy
At PDFNova, we believe your data belongs to you. Here's how we protect it.
Last Updated: April 17, 2026
1. Zero-Upload Technology
Unlike traditional PDF websites, PDFNova uses advanced Client-Side Processing. This means when you select a file to merge, split, or convert, the file is loaded directly into your browser's memory. It is NOT uploaded to our servers, and it never travels across the internet to be processed.
Our tools use JavaScript and WebAssembly to do the heavy lifting right on your device. This eliminates the risk of data interception or server-side breaches.
2. No Data Retention
Since we never receive your files, we cannot store, view, or share them. Once you close your browser tab, all traces of the loaded document are wiped from your device's temporary memory. We have no databases storing your sensitive PDF content.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No Document Data: we never see its content, metadata, or file name.
- No Personal Info: We do not require registration, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- No IP Storage: Your IP address is not logged for the purpose of tracking your document activities.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We may use local storage or minimal cookies to remember your preferences (such as light/dark mode if applicable) and for anonymized website analytics. We use these metrics specifically to understand which tools are popular so we can improve them.
These analytics do not contain any information about the documents you process.
5. Third-Party Libraries
We use reliable third-party CDN services to load fonts (Google Fonts) and icons (FontAwesome). These external services may receive basic technical data like your browser type to serve these files correctly. We also use pdf-lib and jsPDF, which are open-source libraries that run strictly within your browser.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
